PSG opens its first location in Greater Nashville, Tennessee
Priority Staffing Group (PSG), a leading provider of contingent & permanent staffing, payroll, and consulting, announced they will open a new office in Murfreesboro, TN to accommodate their client’s growing needs and to service the needs of the rapidly growing Greater Nashville region.
“The opening of Priority Staffing Group’s new Murfreesboro office is an important step towards realizing our potential,” said Heather Goines-Evans, Vice President. “The new office will be the first of many important changes over the next year for our company. Our goal is to continue to provide superior talent the services to 380+ companies we partner with in southern Illinois while also realizing our goals of growing beyond state lines to give southern Illinois a homegrown economic growth engine.”
Plans to develop operations in Murfreesboro, TN were initiated by PSG’s rapid growth since its opening in 2010. The new office, which includes 3 full-time employees at this time, will be the company’s third office. The new office will allow PSG to serve from the geographic center of Tennessee. Murfreesboro & Rutherford County is home to Tennessee’s largest undergraduate university, is the 13th fastest growing city in the nation and is the #1 producing U.S. auto manufacturing in the country. PSG recently opened a new office in Vandalia, IL in 2014, added new divisions in 2012 & 2014 (Priority Payroll & Priority Professional, respectively) and has grown its full-time staff by more than 600% since opening its doors October, 2010.
The company has named Chris Nichols as Director of Business Development and Operations. Nichols joins Priority Staffing following a successful stint with The Aspire Group based at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. Nichols became the fastest internal promotion to Sales Manager in The Aspire Group’s history. While at Louisiana Tech, his sales department experienced unprecedented success, including the highest year over year increase in revenue, highest number of men’s basketball season tickets sold, highest number of group tickets sold for a fiscal year, as well as leading the efforts on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th largest football crowds in school history.
Nichols commented, “I am extremely excited to join the Priority Staffing Group team. What the leadership of Heather, Gail, and Carlos have done from a growth standpoint over the first 6 years of the company’s existence is incredible. I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to lead our company’s expansion in the rapidly expanding Nashville, Tennessee market.”
A two-time Eastern Illinois University graduate, Nichols graduated with a bachelor degree in business management in 2012 and received a master degree in sports administration in 2014. The Nichols family, Hayley, a speech-language pathologist, and their two daughters, Reese and Gracen will also be making the move to Nashville.
The new office is expected to begin operations on August 9th, 2016. It will primarily handle contingent and permanent staffing presently, but plans for future growth are already in motion.
The staffing and recruiting industry is currently growing at a faster rate than the U.S. labor market and economy. Priority Staffing Group has been involved in finding more than 4,700 individuals employment in southern Illinois since October, 2010. It has recently added Priority Professional Group that specializes in management and professional degree based jobs.
