Heather Goines - Evans

President

Heather is a Southern Illinois native with a passion for career development and strategic placement with 15 years of recruiting experience. After many years in the industry, she become a business owner and partner of Priority Staffing Group, LTD in 2010. Success from that allowed her to expand with Priority Payroll Company in 2012, then again in 2015 with Priority Professional Group. Heather has worked with many different industries, becoming versatile in a wide range of professions, including Accounting/Finance, Engineering, Management, Manufacturing, and Operations/Logistics. She is a member of the Illinois Department of Labor Advisory Board since 2013 and she received the Entrepreneurial Achievement Certificate from Southern Illinois University in 2009.

Gail Barger Lannom

Vice President

Gail was born and raised in Southern Illinois. She has a 25-year background and passion for sales and professional business services. She gained knowledge and understanding by working in sales, retail, wholesale, distribution, employee leasing, professional employer organization, payroll services, and employment service industries. In 2010, she joined her two partners and opened Priority Staffing Group with much success. In 2012, they added Priority Payroll Co. and in 2015, she added Priority Professional Group to her portfolio as well. Gail excels at building relationships and is a very active member of the community, including memberships in SIPMA (Southern Illinois Professional Management Association) Executive Board and Marion Chamber of Commerce.

Emily Melvin

Emily is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor in Education. Emily’s past teaching experience transferred well to Human Resources by providing coaching and mentoring to our applicants on interview and communication skills. Emily’s ability to prepare our applicants for their future career paths establishes a higher quality applicant for our clients. She has also been able to use her experience to manage our staffing team in the Marion office. Outside of work Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, photography and relaxing summer days on her Grandmas front porch.

Megan grew up in Carterville, Illinois and started her first professional job soon after high school. She quickly worked her way up the ranks to a career in Human Resources and has spent the last 20+ years in the field. She now has a broad range of experience in many industries such as banking and finance, manufacturing and engineering, as well as health care, which helps her manage our Direct Hire Placement department at Priority Staffing Group. Megan is involved in numerous organizations in Southern Illinois and is committed to working in our community.

Jessica Taylor

Jessica has deep roots in Southern Illinois as a Marion native. She attended Southern Illinois University-Carbondale where she received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2010. Before joining Priority Group, she worked for three years as a Compliance Auditor for a local healthcare conglomerate. Prior to her time in healthcare, Jessica worked alongside her family in the automotive industry. She brings this experience to Priority Group to help further the growth of the business. She chose this job because it keeps her close to home with her family, while helping her community that she loves. When not in the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and two girls, reading, traveling and being a sports mom.

Her background in Social Work allows her to really connect with our employees and successfully place them in job matches. Ashley was born and raised in Carterville Illinois and currently resides there with her husband and two children. She moved away for six years while her husband was in the Navy in California. After returning, Ashley was a head bank teller for a local bank. She then worked in the health industry for five years before coming to Priority Staffing Group. Ashley is an animal lover and has an 11 year old Miniature Pincher. In her free time, Ashley is kept busy keeping up with her daughter’s year round travel softball.

When coming to Priority Staffing Group Lexi brought that attribute with her and moved from the Office Coordinator position to an Account Manager role within a year. When she is not working she likes to spend time with her husband and two dogs, Emmy and Nala.

Dana was born and raised in Southern Illinois and finds enjoyment in being a part of such a special community. Some of her biggest interests include writing, reading, and story-telling. She has obtained her Associates of Arts degree from John A. Logan College with an emphasis on Creative Writing and is often inspired by the many kinds of people she meets on a daily basis. She is most content when surrounded by friends, family, and her beloved animals. She hopes to ultimately aide in helping others find their true passion and gain confidence in reaching any goals they may seek, however big or small.

Lisa has deep roots in the Middle Tennessee area. Originally from California, she has called Murfreesboro home for the last 20 years. As the Director of Operations at Priority Staffing Group, she is thrilled to be part of an industry where she can pour into the people and businesses of Middle Tennessee. Immediately out of high school, she began a 12 year career in restaurant management and operations, discovering the personal and professional rewards of investing in people, of all ages and backgrounds, for a common goal of success. Her innovative approach and growing knowledge in hiring engagement, training, development, and retention of staff, allow her to serve as a long lasting partner to applicants and companies. Lisa and her husband enjoy music and creativity – often writing, recording, and performing musical projects with family and friends.

Candice was born and raised in the small town of Pulaski, TN, about 80 miles south of Murfreesboro. She comes from a blended family with three sisters and two amazing sets of parents. She moved to Murfreesboro for college, and ended up making it her home. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and Business Management. Most of her work experience has been in leasing and restaurant management. She thrives in work environments where she can connect and engage with people. Candice is getting married in October. Her and her fiancé, Jacob, have two dogs, Max and Beau. On her time off, Candice is studying to be a yoga teacher and providing ESL (English as a Second Language) to children in China. She also enjoys reading books, cooking, and making her own soaps and lotions!

Bailey was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She has a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Belmont University. During college, she interned for a digital marketing agency and after graduation, she held two-part time marketing jobs focusing on social media and digital marketing efforts. She joined Priority Staffing Group in 2022 as an Account Manager. In her free time, Bailey volunteers with her local church youth and college groups. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, shopping, and going to local coffee shops.
